Moderator Popular Post Li**** Posted May 16, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted May 16, 2019 I honestly feel like pets give you so much happiness and joy. I was never a big fan of animals before (only in pictures or YouTube videos) but since I got my little doggy I can't even imagine who I was before her. Every day she'll make me laugh just from little things she does, and there's just so much love :) Does anyone else feel like this about their pet, or being around animals in general?

Members Popular Post huma Posted August 1, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted August 1, 2019 @Lizzie definitely!! I feel the same, I don't know what kind of magic they have. And I understand you so well @willcocks. My cat died after being with him for 8 years and I was very young. We practically grew up together and he died out of sickness, way earlier than he was supposed to normally and with suffering. I still miss him so much. It will get easier for you too most probably but I think it's ok to remember and feel sad about them from time to time.
Members Di**** Posted August 3, 2019 Members Posted August 3, 2019 Gosh! I wouldn't know what I would do without Miso!! My dog, who I think believe he is a cat! He is a real Buddha. It is pure love! Unconditional love! Those beings will love us no matter what, whatever the moods we are in, they are there for us, because they trust us! They help us grow and become better humans, they help us be happy!
Moderator Calvin77 Posted August 8, 2019 Moderator Posted August 8, 2019 Many of my friends with dogs said that getting one changed their lives for the better. I look forward to the day I can do the same :)
Moderator Candy Posted August 8, 2019 Moderator Posted August 8, 2019 @willcocks I had a dog for 12 years. I rescued her from being drowned in the Atlantic ocean because she was infested with ticks. She was hit by a car at 12 years old in front of my parents house and died in my mother's arms. None of us have gotten over it completely. It's been 6 years ? I do like dogs and cats, but I no longer want either.
Members Popular Post An**** Posted August 8, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted August 8, 2019 My dog has taught me so much in life. I never wanted to have a dog but he came in to my life when my flatmate insisted. We adopted the 3 months old Puppy - Thebe from a shelter. It was tough to have a dog when you are in a 9-6 job , but at one point when I saw the dog struggling , I left my job and started my own business and walked my dog everyday, His love for me was unconditional. Even though he lives with my friend now, I visit our dog occasionally and he runs to me with all his love when he sights me. He has taught me patience, kindness, empathy and inclusiveness. It doesn't matter if its an animal or Human, I started seeing everyone as just a piece of life.
Moderator Tine Posted August 8, 2019 Moderator Posted August 8, 2019 For me, a gift amongst many I get from my dog Kiko is that she is the best guide into the present moment and pure joy. How can you not laugh and squeak if she launches a toe licking attack, how can you stay self-absorbed when she demands belly rubs, how can you not see the beauty in life when all kinds of adventures unfold while walking her, how can you stay trapped in thoughts when there is a ball to be thrown. :-D
