Day 1:

  1. Health - My health and the health of my loved ones
  2. Heating
  3. Physical safety by having a warm place to stay and enough food to eat.
  4. Clean tab water! This shouldn't be but is a luxury on many levels
  5. My will to struggle and grow even when it hurts
  6. The possibility to change patterns
  7. Freedom - all kinds of freedom
  8. I am grateful for the many places I got to visit
  9. I am grateful for the places I call home and the piece and calm it gives me new to be more settled
  10. I am grateful for the ability to learn, explore and understand

Day 2:

  1. A partner to share the housework with
  2. The old doggies good health
  3. The motivation to make a change
  4. The inspiration to make a change
  5. Coworkers who are friends
  6. The many possibilities I see
  7. Time to learn a new language
  8. The comfy couch which we got 3rd hand over 20 years ago
  9. The ability to fix things
  10. The last xmas cookie I ate today

What's your happy song? Or your happy songs?

Mine is definitely "The sensational Alex Harvey Band - Shake that thing" no idea why. It makes me move and smile.

I am looking forward to some inspiration on what works for you.

Currently my happy song is Jerusalema by Master KG. I can't take a shower without listening to it and dancing!

Day 3:

  1. I am grateful to have a world of music at my fingertips
  2. I am grateful for the possibilities to see the world from many different perspectives
  3. I am grateful for the safety that allows me to explore what it means to be physically and emotionally safe
  4. I am grateful for the home-made plum jam from my parents which might be the last one - who knows
  5. I am grateful for my parents good health given their age (I might get more plum jam)
  6. I am grateful for the technology that made it possible to stay in touch even in lockdown
  7. I am grateful for the forest near by
  8. I am grateful for the plants in our garden
  9. I am grateful that I am accepted and loved for who I am - though I often do not know who I really am
  10. I am grateful that I have the space and freedom to explore who I am

Day 5:

  1. Music - Yes, this idea of enjoying a happy song each day really brings me joy
  2. Activists - People who stand up for what they believe in even if it's frustrating and draining
  3. Long Johns - because I need to do groceries on with my bicycle tomorrow and it's freezing
  4. My Big Mug - drinking that quickly really warms me up from the inside
  5. Video Calls - to stay in touch with my parents
  6. Audiobooks - I can "read" while knitting
  7. Cabbage - So many variations to be enjoyed during winter (Try Ogonomiyaki)
  8. Support - the kids helping clean up after lunch
  9. My body - which is healthy and allows me to type this
  10. The days getting longer

Day 6:

  1. I am grateful for the dog's funny face which always makes me smile
  2. I am grateful for the snow
  3. I am grateful for the possibility to accept my emotions but not being let by them
  4. I am grateful for the people out there I do not know who make it possible that I am sitting here with so little worries
  5. I am grateful for the passion I see in people of all ages to cut back on their personal comfort for solidarity and to tackle climate change
  6. I am grateful for the preserves in our cellar
  7. I am grateful for the last few beets and Brussel sprouts the garden
  8. I am grateful for salt
  9. I am grateful for the wooden floor
  10. and I am grateful for the cosy blanket to wrap myself in on a cold day

Day 7:

  1. I am grateful for public transportation
  2. The employees at the shop helping me find the salt - walking my to the right shelf
  3. I am also grateful for iodine
  4. I am grateful for the crispy vegetarian burger patties my partner makes
  5. I am grateful for being the first person to hear the latest story the kid wrote
  6. I am grateful for my voice so I can say hello to people as my smile isn't visible behind the mask
  7. I am grateful that the public transport installed a book exchange shelf in the bus
  8. I am grateful for my day off
  9. I am grateful for the technology which allowed me to record my first short guided meditation

Day 8:

  1. I am grateful that I still have hope
  2. I am grateful for the chance to pause and process
  3. I am grateful for 2nd hand markets and websites
  4. I am grateful for vegan "bolognese"
  5. I am grateful for the country of origin signs in the supermarket so I can stick to relatively regional fruit and vegetables
  6. I am grateful for the internet so I can up my knitting game by buying from small local wool producers
  7. I am grateful for openarms.es
  8. I am grateful for people who's solidarity includes everybody - beyond borders, religions, races or whatever "reason" that justifies selfishness
  9. I am grateful for being angry and not indifferent
  10. I am grateful for my friends mother slowly getting better

Day 9:

  1. I am grateful for this exercise because it forces me to focus on the positive and I am angry and sad and worried and this is needed.
  2. I am grateful for having a list of 81 things I am grateful of already
  3. I am grateful for pretzels
  4. I am grateful for colors
  5. I am grateful for the whistling and voices I hear in the house
  6. I am grateful for seeing chances and possibilities
  7. I am grateful for the online satsang tonight
  8. I am grateful for how easily things I am grateful for come to me even as I am sad and upset. They exist at the same time, next to each other. It's no either I am grateful or I am upset. I can be both. They do not cancel each other out all exist at the same time.

  1. I am grateful that it's day 10 and I am still on it
  2. I am grateful for the years of meditation practice that support me every day
  3. I am grateful for freshly baked scones and home made strawberry jam

  1. I am grateful for my journal where I can take notes before I send something out

  1. I am grateful for the rainbow I didn't see but I am sure was there
  2. I am grateful for the hippies
  3. I am grateful for food delivery
  4. I am greateful for homemade sourdough rye bread
  5. I am grateful for the blues
  6. I am grateful that less planes are flying
  7. I am grateful for the feedback I get for improving the sound quality of my guided meditations without having to spend anything
  8. I am grateful for hot soup (Soup btw was invented by John Soup when he wanted to drink a chicken)

  1. I am grateful that the ice rain turned into snow
  2. I am grateful for the spanish lassons
  3. and I am extra grateful that they are possible online now
  4. I am grateful for ginger tea - hot
  5. I am grateful for my glasses
  6. I am grateful for still being able to use the sewing machine though my eyesight might make this impossible at one point
  7. I am grateful for vegetable soup - yeah soup is still a relevant topic ?
  8. I am grateful for the organic seeds of old vegetable varieties
  9. I am grateful for the many people who are engaged in a post growth and well being economy
  10. I am grateful for the wood donations we got

Day 14:

  1. Today I am grateful for health insurance 
  2. I am grateful for all the days I do not have a headache
  3. I am grateful for the friendly bank lady who helped me
  4. I am grateful for the postwoman
  5. I am grateful for my parents 
  6. I am grateful for comfy, warm clothes
  7. I am grateful that I can wear as much makeup as I like - which is usually none, but that's not the point
  8. I am grateful for the connections with people from all over the world
  9. I am grateful that I can order more yarn from local shepherds
  10. and I am grateful for the fairy lights on our terrace

Day 15:

  1. Today I am grateful that our small tile stove got installed
  2. I am also grateful that we chose something oldfashioned. The chimney sweeper was delighted.
  3. I am grateful for the chimney sweeper, who was a massive help during the installation.
  4. I am grateful for the neighbour and him sharing his plans.
  5. I am grateful for the dog who's deaf but hilariously alert at random times.
  6. I am grateful for my mum's odd sense of humour.
  7. I am grateful for having the time to do this exercise for 15 days in a row.
  8. I am grateful for the excitement about new album releases.
  9. I am grateful for a good book (or two or three or walls lined with them *blush)
  10. I am also grateful for pain killers.

  1. I am grateful for the open fire.
  2. I am grateful for cosy warmth.
  3. For the cold as frozen dog poop in the garden is way easier to pick up. ?
  4. I am grateful for shared responsibilities.
  5. I am grateful for olive oil.
  6. I am grateful for the plants that are already sticking their fresh sprouts out of the frozen earth.
  7. I am grateful for hope.
  8. I am grateful for people standing up against racism.
  9. I am grateful for science and researchers.

Day 18:

  1. Today I am grateful for the kids being alert and sensitive towards racism and sexism
  2. I am grateful that the fridge holds the promise of Okonomiyaki
  3. I am grateful for the big green plants in the room
  4. I am grateful for honestly trying to change
  5. I am grateful for a gentle touch
  6. I am grateful for real effort
  7. I am grateful for more wool being on its way
  8. I am grateful for the basket weaving Xmas trees getting a second life as climbing aids for beans and peas
  9. I am grateful that the dog's inner alarm tells me that feeding time is in 1.5h ?
  10. I am grateful for gratitude
