  6. Dear @Personlove101, While I appreciate the info about the offering, I think a subtler way to introduce it here would be more appropriate. How about telling a bit more about it in a post or creating a forum topic with explanations and some teaser exercises? You are also more than welcome to engage in conversations with people and on forum topics. This tastes like blatant advertisement and is not quite the style we encourage on happiness.com.   16. When you are in you are 20s you are often going through a lot of things for the first time, which can be challenging to deal with. It's also in a way the "right moment" to make some mistakes that you will then learn from moving forward. Having a great support system can be really vital during this age, whether it's friends or family, or even an online community ?

It's never too late to make new connections with people who share your interests though ? I hope you'll find our community a good space to connect with others and share your advice and experiences. Make sure to check out the Magazine for lots of great articles, and the Academy too if you want to try one of the many courses we offer there. ?
  20. Namaste Anil Do you mean loneliness during the pandemic? I think it's normal to feel this way and also fairly common during this pandemic. We had a very long, very strict lockdown in Spain early last year and I felt lonely too. What helped for me was the following: - Calling a friend or family just to talk, listen or share how I feel, if I feel like it. - Keeping a routine for meal times, bed time, exercise, work and things I like doing. - Doing a free online course (we have a couple here in the happiness Academy) - Doing something completely out of my comfort zone. - Taking a break from my phone or laptop to read a book, sit in the sun, listen to music/radio. - Joining an online community (which you've already done ?) - Watching movies. - Taking walks (if this is accessible to you). - Read some feel-good news. I know it's incredibly challenging and what works for me won't necessarily work for you too, but try to remember that it won't be this way forever. It will pass and things will go back to a new sense of 'normal' and all will be well in the world. I send you a virtual hug and hope it gets better for you.

  22. Well, just a reason more to learn spanish, I would say ☺️?. I'm sure we find a solution here, maybe find some spanish speaking volunteers who can help out within the community. I would love if the community would start to be a place for language tandems in english/spanish, spanish/german or english/german, where people can talk about their struggles, experiences and personal way of life while learning a language better. That way it would add an even more interesting twist to it. I'm up for a spanish tandem, if someone is interested !
  23. Depression (and bipolar disorder) have been a nearly crippling disease for me my entire life. Prozac and other meds help to a considerable extent, but I realized - and I doubt I'm alone here! - that Facebook was dragging me down. I rely on social networking to stay in touch with friends and family around the country, but as fragile as I am, I need a thoroughly wholesome community to become one with. I joined only last night, but I can already tell this feels like a second home I'm always up for chatting with anyone; don't be a stranger! David
  24. Hi, David. You're definitely not alone! I often a take social media hiatus for the same reason. It elevates my states of dissatisfaction and I go days and weeks without feeling good, especially the Instagram devil haha As soon as I take a break though, I notice how I slowly begin to open up and blossom again and live in gratitude rather than fear, frustration and lack. I, too, rely on social networks to communicate with my friends and family as most of them are scattered all over the world, so I can't ignore it completely, but it helps me a great deal knowing there are other platforms I can visit to replenish my soul needs ☺️ I'm so glad you've joined us and find this community helpful. If you haven't already done so, may I suggest browsing the happiness Academy? There might be a course or two that interests you. Some of them are free I look forward to hearing more from you in the days and weeks to come.
