  1. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Just imagine having two friends. You like both of them, but you would only consider one of them for a romantic relationship. So it depends who's asking. I experienced 3 stories regarding this topic: 1. When i went to school, I got a group of friends, but I was closer to one of the female friends. Sometimes just the two of us met, we went on vacation together once and we told each other a lot of things. But to me we were just friends. One year our ususal New Year's Eve party was cancelled, so I went to another friend's party without her and she was very mad. So I think, she thought of us as a couple, she never told me and then she got hurt. 2. I was texting a woman, when I was looking for a girlfriend. She was nice, but her ex treated her so badly that she was affraid of a new relationship. So I was patient and spent a lot of time with her as a close friend. I helped her to overcome her fear and to build up self-esteem. Then she dated a new guy, they got into a relationship and I left because I loved her and I couldn't take it. And of course, he treated her badly and they broke up again. But I didn't spend any more time with her, because she hurt me so much by picking a random idiot over me. 3. When I was still looking for a girlfriend, I casually played an online game with some people. We became a crew of friends soon and played together for years. We even met each other in real life at crew weekends. One of them became my female best friend, because we played together every day and got to know us very well. Her boyfriend was part of the crew and he was a friend too, but over time he showed her less attention and treated her worse and worse. So they broke up one day. Since she was missing attention and she got it from me every day, we got even closer. We started joking about getting together when both of us wouldn't find a partner in a few years. We started flirting and one day we decided to meet and make out. It was very good, we both enjoyed it and we got together. I will marry her this summer. So I would say: Tell him/her how you feel. The longer you wait, the more it hurts. It can go good or bad, but you will have an answer and you can enjoy it or move on. Life is short. If flirting is funny and not weird, that's a good sign. And everyone loves to hear being accepted and loved with all the imperfections. When looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend, pick the one who truly cares about you and spends time with you.
  2. You know, many of us have thought the same thing, is your mind just a product of certain emotions. But, there`s really nothing, just emotions to make us behave in a certain way. Well, if that`s so, we`re all just dead bodies, moving around with no purpose, just certain processes to make us re-produce. I have another take on it, we`re all the product of energy. I mean, the universe began with a sun, energy, then when the energy cooled down, it formed mass, and because the sun was so heavy, it collapsed under it`s own weight, and why we have gravity also, because of the momentum this caused. I think energy, which the first sun consisted of, is a little living; the reason why we`re living also. If you look at someone closely, in their eyes, you can see this light. It`s the reason we`re living, and not just bodies, walking around. We lived before DNA, we`re all sons, of this energy, sort of. LIke God`s sons. The soul isn`t from DNA, anyways, I`m just making a point. The soul get`s transfered, in another way, before birth. That`s why they spent billions on researching also, without finding genes linked to the personality.Anyways, I just wanted to share my take on it, it`s a popular thing now to think there`s nothing in the soul, they say "nothing", among western people. I always knew I felt real, to me it`s just nonsense to think there`s nothing. I think they fall under their own irrationally also, because they still care about others, wants to have sex, and so fourth; what`s the point then, if there`s nothing. Exactly, I wouldn`t like care about others, or talk to them, if there`s nothing. I`d just be under my own reflexes then, and not in control of myself, and spending life in society. My point is, I think energy is living a little. The whole universe, is living. The thing, we all consists of. What`s your take on it? We feel a "self" also, which also could just be a trick from nature, to make us feel real. But, I don`t think so. Science knows we have a soul. scientist says so, and they struggle with this "self" also, they can`t understand why we have it, because in their minds, we`re just brains ... Happy Holidays!
  3. When all energy, which all mass today, consists of, popped up in the middle of an empty space, it collapsed under it`s own weight. Since it collapsed, we have gravity, because of the momentum the collapse creates. This gravity, acts like a pushing force. So when mass formed, which is energy cooled down, it formed planets. Over time, since the enviroment was stable, this pushing force, formed a will. Life starts with a will, and over time, the necessary traits was formed by adapting to the enviroment. Since life is self-sustained, it needs energy, and proteins, which it got from plants. I`m not saying energy, is living, but it acts, as this pushing force. So, everywhere in the universe, where the enviroment is stable, and you have plants, life will form. We`re all sons of energy, sort of. When energy just popped up in empty space, it formed mass, because it had orbits, a little like electrons, around a proton. When these orbits cooled down, it formed different mass, but it also formed gravity from the explosion. Since energy can`t be destroyed, when black holes gather mass, it collpases, into a new sun again. When it get`s heavy enough. And since all energy just popped out of nothing, it can happen again. So, life is basically a will, adapted to the surroundings. Why can`t we see aliens yet? Because, it`s been around 14 billion years, and still, no aliens have developed the necessary technology to find us. The reason, may be that we`re hindered by the speed of light, after all. As things travels faster and faster, it get`s heavier, so maybe there`s a limit. A final limit. Black mass, and black energy, haven`t been proven yet. Their best theory, is that galaxies stay together because of the gravity black matter gives off, but I have another take on it. It`s actually gravity from old energy. When suns burn, the energy, get`s old, a little like when your heater at home. It stays around planets and hold it together, beyond just the gravity the planets gives off. Can we live forever in this marverlous universe? No, contrary to the popular belief that the body ages, it`s actually the soul, that ages. You can see it on people, who stays normal all their lives. They only get grey hairs. It`s actually the soul that ages, so if you are under alot of stress, smoke, do alot of physical work, you age faster. The real reason we can`t live forever, is that the cells, which make up your soul, can`t be replaced. Otherwise, it wouldn`t be you anymore. So they age. The soul isn`t a spark, it`s cells in the brain-stem. The brain itself, is only for a little higher level of thinking, while the brain-stem holds your soul, your emotions, feelings, the will, the control over body, and so fourth. It`s not part of the brain, it`s only called the "brain"-stem. It`s under the brain itself, more like a muscle, that makes movement possible. The universe itself, is infinite in all directions, So it`ll never collapse as it expands. If dark matter, actually existed, it would have to be infinite also, which doesn`t sound logical; an infinite amount of something. So, what is energy really, which all matter consists of? Well, it`s not easy to say. It`s warm, it`s bright. It can be turned into mass, it can never be destroyed. Hope you like my writings, I`ve been thinking alot, over the years 😉
  4. I've been friends with someone for over 11 years. We were housemates at college and ended up living within 45 mins of each other for 9 years after graduation and met up every few months. When we were both married we would meet up as a couple a few times a year around 3 or 4. A few years ago they moved slightly further away and the distance is now probably double what it was. However, we continued to meet up a few times a year half way. When we had our first child the distance was still 45mins and they were great really supportive. They met with us several times when he was small till the age of about 18months even when they moved. Things got a bit odd about a year ago, despite finishing renovating their house we have never received a invite, where others have, which feels odd as we used to meet at each others houses alot. When we had a late baptism for our child (pandemic) when he was two, only my friend showed up with a excuse from his partner. Since then everytime we have mentioned meeting as a 4 (plus our toddler) we have been ghosted. No response. You wait few weeks or a month, send a message asking 'how there doing' or sharing news, and not mentioning dates to meet, and a reply comes through within the day, you can go a few weeks doing that with no issues and then as soon as you mention dates. Ghosted. This hurts slightly more as we recently had out second child, despite invites and indicating they'd like to come see him, they have made 0 effort to be there for us or meet the child outside of messages. I've met up with my friend a few times this year just us and it's been fine - a few weeks back I suggested (having not done so for around 10 weeks) all 4 of us meeting or, if they were two busy for that, just him and me and again ghosted. It's been 4 months since I've seen him now. Yesterday, same thing, message a 'how are you?' and by the evening a long reply apologizing for being bad at replying due to busyness / other stresses in life - no mention of meeting. Yet in the message they happily told me how they were meeting up with a mutual friend, on way back from somewhere, and had others friends round there house recently. They seem oblivious to what there doing, but, then, I think; how can you be? What has changed? Has your partner decided we're not worth the effort, and, if so, I'd wish you'd just say! I really don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my friend of 11 years, but also really don't like their habit of ghosting me for wanting to arrange meeting up! I feel pretty hurt they don't want to meet my newest child despite indicating they would. Part of me wants to just say "what gives" or "have we done something" but I honestly don't know where we'd end up if I did and that's scary. Currently, I've not replied as I don't know what to say which is unlike me, I'm the reply within a day kinda person.
  5. I love a whole bunch of things, hiking, camping, travelling, going of the beaten track, 4x4s and motorcycles, music. I love nature, good food and people. I think people are awesome, all ethnicities and backgrounds, they all have a uniqueness that makes humanity exciting, the cultures, food and so much more. I haven't really been able to do any of the things I love though, life has just not allowed me to gain stability enough to get onto living. Family, kids, finances...the list goes on. I sometimes feel like I've lost excitement for life in the buzz of doing life. I hold on to hope though, that someday soon I may just be able to go on with living.
  6. Give the problem to God and let it Go, If your friendship is meant to be your friend will be back. I have had similar situations in my life and my friend who I thought I lost came back after giving the problem God I did not worry about it and She contacted me and we have never lost our friendship.
  7. I was a journalist at the top of my career with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation when depression and PTSD took hold. I thought my life was over, but I found purpose and self-worth again by volunteering in a school in rural Nepal, 18 months after the earthquakes which claimed 9000 lives. I still have some bad days, but I now live a life of passion and purpose. I love supporting others and lifting people up. Every person has a story to tell and amazing potential.
  8. The one thing I'd like everyone to know about me is before last night, I didn't want anyone to know anything about me. I am very spiritual and I am very comfortable in hermit mode because the energy in the world is heavy. I've been through a long life of trauma and what started as therapy and researching psychology then led me to spirituality. I know the term "witch" comes with a very negative stereotype and stigma. However, I don't think of myself in the typical pointed hat and cauldron type either. *giggles* I have just recently learned that I am quite magical but it took me a long time to accept my gifts and abilities. Before I could ever do that I had to learn to love myself unapologetically. As a person who has been a people pleaser my whole life, it was very difficult for me to focus on myself. This is one one of the hardest things I've ever done and I upset a lot of people by placing boundaries and sticking to them. My opinion on that is, when you stand in your truth without fear, the people that aren't meant to be in our lives will fall away. There is a whole theory to that but that's for another day. My point is, that, I have been divinely guided here and to this platform specifically. Last night was a new moon. As per usual I have regular "rituals"/habits that I perform. I was reflecting on this period of my life that is coming to a close. I was releasing what no longer serves my highest path and then manifesting the things I truly want. One thing I released was my fear of being truly seen for who I am and not for my physical appearance. For months I have hidden away, working on my inner world. Now I'm being called to step back into the public and reintroduce myself. The second hardest thing I've ever done is learn to surrender to the universe. So... here I am. Hi there!! Haha
  9. Hello! I saw the angel number 444 so I knew I had to reply when I saw this topic. First I want to say that it takes a lot of courage to talk about mental illnesses and addiction. I have also had a long life of being told I was mentally unwell. Then after my failed marriage, I was introduced to drugs at 28 years old. So I completely understand. I loved that you said our illnesses give us super powers! I used to believe that. Lol now I can see that we all have gifts and powers BUT it's a matter of choosing to see and wanting then, learning and practicing, and then using them to help others. It sounds like you are/have been experiencing a spiritual awakening. And/or an ego death/dark of the soul. I have been through these myself. It can be so painful but also so enlightening and liberating at the same time. My last one occurred when I had felt abandoned by literally the whole planet. Not a soul to turn to. I now know that this was all part of my soul mission. I knew I had to back myself so far into a corner that I'd have no choice but to look within and when I did, I found the universe, spirit, God. Whatever term you'd like to use. I have learned so much about myself and I now know that since I understand myself, I can better understand others, and ultimately the world. I just wanted to tell you that the super powers you have, you were born with. It just took the universe shaking your life down the foundation for you to gain a different perspective and begin to build from the ground up. The spiritual journey isn't for the weak of heart or mind. It is a true test of FAITH! Congratulations and continue keeping that positive attitude!! It will take you wherever your heart desires!

  11. Speaking from experience as someone who didn't understand what happiness was until I read this somewhere. Happiness depends on one's mindset. Trying to see life from a positive side inspite of the many challenges one encounters. One doesn't have to move on from what's hurt them. One can learn how to move forward regardless of what is happening. Surround yourself with positivity, try to see the best in yourself and in what the universe has to offer.
  12. There is a force in the universe that is active in us, and is a great resource in our quest for a animated life and a conscious world. this force exists and is with us — indeed, it is in us — making use of it hinges on a crucial factor: the nature of your mindset. What’s Wrong with our Mindset? Mindset, This is an embracing concept — it does not stand for a rigorously scientific view, nor does it stand for a purely fictional one. But it does stand for a view of the world that people can recognize as their own. This is an embracing view, encompassing the whole gamut of values and feelings associated with one’s beliefs and convictions regarding the nature of the world. In the current scientific literature, there is a more rigorous but also more limited concept: this is “paradigm.” Originally developed by philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn to describe the fundamental changes in physics wrought by the shift from the Newtonian view of physical reality, to the Einsteinian relativistic view, in the course of the past decades the concept of paradigm has acquired a wider meaning. It extends from the concept of physical reality to a general concept of what we hold to be the nature of reality. We can speak of a materialistic paradigm, a vitalistic paradigm, a classical Newtonian paradigm, or a new quantum-science paradigm. Whether we give it thought or not, we all hold some variety of paradigm, even if it is not consciously recognized and articulated. This is also true of the concept of “mindset.” We all dispose of some variety of mindset, and that mindset is active and influential for us whether we recognize it or not. There is something fundamentally wrong with the mindset of most people in the modern world. That mindset is antiquated and misleading. People holding it are focused on acquiring material goods and fostering their own wealth, power and influence. They adopt a wasteful and often ostentatious lifestyle. They think that individuals have little or no influence on the way the world is going, and so there is no real need for individuals to feel responsible for the way the world is actually going. Life is a struggle for survival, where the fittest survives. Popular wisdom such as “make the most of your opportunities and never mind what comes after you — you only go around once” and “the world out there is a jungle, so take care of your own interests, because nobody else will care for it” are fairly typical examples. This is how the mind of the typical modern person is set to perceive the world. The values and behaviors inspired by the modern mindset have led to critical conditions in our social, economic, and ecological systems. They have fractured the integrity of the human community, dividing it into we and others, drawing the line in reference to common interests, or competing and perhaps opposing interests. This creates competition and conflict, and gives rise to violence. It leads to an unsustainable world. If we the modern mindset doesn’t change and evolve, we endanger not just our own well-being, but the survival of our species, but also we endanger the survival of all beings on planet earth. How to Change Your Mindset — Start with yourself. But how do you go about it? The first step is to ask yourself some fundamental questions. How do you relate to people, society, and nature around you? Are you part of them, or are you outside and perhaps above them? The honest answer you give, testifies to the nature of your mindset. Adopting an up-to-date mindset is not a quixotic endeavor: The shift from competition to reconciliation and partnership: a change from relationships, organizational models, and societal strategies based on competition to relationships and models based on principles of healing, reconciliation, forgiveness, and male–female partnership. The shift from greed and scarcity to sufficiency and caring: a change in values, perspectives, and approaches from the traditional self-centered and greedy mode toward a sense of the sufficient and the interpers onal concern of caring. The shift from outer to inner authority: a change from reliance on outer sources of “authority” to inner sources of “knowing.” The shift from separation to wholeness: a recognition of the wholeness and interconnectedness of all aspects of reality. The shift from mechanistic to living systems: a shift of attention from models of organizations based on mechanistic systems to perspectives and approaches rooted in the principles that inform the world of the living. The shift from organizational fragmentation to coherent integration: a shift from disintegrative, fragmented organizations with parts set against each other to goals and structures integrated, so they serve both those who participate in the organizations and those around them.

  14. I’m so sorry you went through this. You’re not stupid. You have faith in the goodness of humanity but these days we can really no longer afford to give people the benefit of the doubt. It’s likely this man is a narcissist, and they are very dangerous people to be around for the reason that you speak of. Their mission in life is to make things look like everything is your fault when it isn’t. He has showed you how really awful some people can be and in doing so you’ll know the signs to look for the next time. Grieve the loss and look forward to meeting the man who is really right for you!
  15. My name is Willie Newborn and I’m 48 and I’ve suffered from mental health disorders my whole life and addiction and today. God has granted me freedom from all my disorders and a brand new mindset. This has been a 5 year journey of extreme lows and mind blowing highs. This was a constant battle, it would shoot up and crash over and over, my therapist suggested putting me on medication but I knew God could heal me and then one day out of nowhere I started to get answers on how to fight back , with in a week something great happened my neurons started to work , but this was when the real work would begin, how to balance my highs and lows, so it would balance without drugs. This process has been brutal because I have to be aware when it’s spiking or going to crash. It truly takes practice and not giving up and forgiving myself when I fail and figure out what I missed and learn from it. Today I still have spikes but it’s totally different I spike up and be super motivated and I get answers to the things I never knew or read a book about. This is soaring at a whole new level without side effects, but wreckless knowledge that I have to process. I believe our mental Illness gives us super powers.
  16. Hello, I'm a 24 year old man. I have signed up here because I have gone through severe depressions throughout my life. This year, my depression was so severe, that I went through a psychotic episode with symptoms of schizophrenia for 2 weeks. During that period of time, I have lost friends and fucked up an opportunity with a girl that meant a lot to me. All this happened at the end of my stay in South of France, where I was doing my bachelor's degree for 3 years. It's difficult for me to realise that a lot of people, who I might see again in my life, talk trash behind my back without even knowing that i was behaving very awkwardly because of that psychotic episode. Recently, I moved to another city to do my Master's degree. As usual, I feel lonely and depressed, but I managed to get out of that psychotic episode. What triggers me the most, is that I can be a very social person when I'm in society, I would describe myself as pretty charismatic, and confident when I talk to or in front of a lot of people, but despite that fact, I don't manage to create intimate bonds with other people and at the end of the day, I remain a lonely man. I would like to share my thoughts with other people who can relate to this or who experienced similar things in their life and find solutions to overcome the overwhelming negative thoughts that our brain create.

  18. I just signed up for this site. I wrestle with mental illness. My sister committed suicide in October. It's sent my episodes through the roof. I'm not suicidal, yet living like this is no quality of life. And I'm afraid if this continues, I won't want to remain on this earth... not like this. I experience joy in glimpses and for that I'm grateful. It appears to last only so long though. This week has been extraordinarily difficult, as my mental state has left me unable to work and there seems no end in site. Navigating the mental health system has not only become a full time job, it's become overwhelming and I feel helpless and alone in it all. Not sure how this site works
  19. I'm a lightworker with great knowledge of the world. It hurts, I know, but to truly understand true love, you have to feel deep sorrow. I'm sorry that you went through this, but once the storm settles and the light starts shining again, you'll be thankful that he proved you a lesson. You are not stupid. Life gives us paths, and you probably have a gift of seeing the best in people, like me. I got burnt a lot, but now I realise what I am connected to everything, and the feeling is amazing but a hard path to follow. You will have setbacks. It's a gift to see the best in everyone, but we need to remember that we can see the best but can't let that blind us from the darksides
  20. Hi and I was looking for some advice for myself . I was seeing a man for 5 years , we were compatible we were good friends and I thought I found the love of my life until I figured out he had a wife with 4 kids . I am shattered that I was duped . On further discussion he told me that he lied because he did not want to loose me but I feel take. In for a ride. I really don’t know why I was so dumb and how I never did a background check
  21. The signs of Need? Are you feeling them? I first understood what they were when my heart started beating a thousand beats per minute and panic wretched my body as I grabbed my heart. A stroke? Damn straight, who was I to think that I could be a single mom and take on raising a six-year-old-girl, pay bills, and carry all the demands of life without suffering. Does this sound familiar to you? Phrase: "No one can get inner peace by jumping on it." author unknown, yet, I can totally relate to this phrase. I read and hear people complain about how they are feeling physically and mentally. I'm depressed. I'm unhappy. I'm this or that. But, what I want to hear is what kind of work they are putting into the mind, body, and soul to feel balanced and full of harmony? I call this mental noise with no effort. That stroke I suffered, reality check! A light switch turned on; saying that I cannot leave my daughter alone in this world to fend for herself. What about you?
  22. A beautiful mess life is hard try to take a different view of it.. I hope it gets better
  23. If you can maintain a good relationship, then you will have one sooner or later. If not, you’d better stay single.Treat yourself ritually in every respects and be thankful all the time.I think you will like to be single than having the wrong companion that disturb your inner peace which is so precious in your life time.
