  1. You are not alone! I found a lot of solice in Jesus when I was feeling similar to how you are. Ask him for help and clarity and he will come fast! Sending you good thoughts, love, and peace.
  2. Hi Jenny, I'm new to this site as well and read everyone's response which is positive and real. Most of us have situations; and if we focus on the situations or problems then we will feel sad about life disappointments which are real. Focus on something positive that makes you smile. To say a daily positive affirmation can help. You can google those. Depending upon your sadness seek medical advise, consult with your doctor for help. When I feel perplex about a situation...my prayer life increases. I don't know your spiritual state, but I believe there is a God. I live in the US and of Christian faith. Through Christ I have peace. Not that I don't have issues, but I have peace. Many blessings!!!
  3. Hi Emma, yes, I have. Some days I would wake up and not know how I got to where I am, wondering why I'm here and what the purpose of it all is. What helped for me is reading a lot of books about non-duality and the tricks the mind and ego plays on us. Yoga also helped me so much to connect with my body, my mind and my soul (I'd like to think). For years, without realising, I lived every day not knowing who I am or how to be. Especially because I thought I was supposed to be a certain way for my partner to love me, completely ignoring all the warning signals going off around me. It was hard. It's still hard, but there's a way out. I find something to be grateful for every day. I practice self-care and self-love as often as I can. I often write Morning Pages (journaling without thinking about it and just letting your feelings and thoughts flow out through the pen onto the paper). I repeat positive affirmations until I notice the shift in my negative thinking/energy. I try very hard not to beat myself up, and I listen to the most beautiful music on youtube every day which REALLY calms me and puts my mind at peace.
  4. Hi everyone how are you peace be with you all........ I'm TheeYogi and I'm on my Intyre path to enlightenment..... 5. Going over past decisions or mistakes and beating myself up about stuff is something that's plagued me for ages. If I added up all the time I'd spent thinking 'what if' or 'why did I do it that way?' I think I'd probably start stressing over that too! ? I was checking out this article about ruminating on the site and apparently humans spend half our waking hours thinking about something other than what we're doing. ??It also suggested three ways to try and stop ruminating on stuff. For me, one of the ideas of distraction seems to work best. If I'm busy with work, friends, exercise etc, my mind does focus on that and blocks out any chance of ruminating on the past. I think I'm getting better with my rumination and I now try to switch my thoughts to focus on solutions of the future. It's an ongoing problem, still working on it! Does anyone suffer with this? I'd love to hear what techniques have worked for other people to try and stop ruminating so I can try them out. Peace!
