  12. I’m a single mom of a beautiful little lady. Professionally my focus is family life education, -and finding joy in our development and these deep familial connections. I have since memory allows worked to live more in the moment and be mindful and love my connections to others. I’m a type 1 diabetic so at times it’s what I need to cope. Last year I also lost my stepfather who was a one of my primary caregivers growing up. It’s been a struggle to maintain as I was back in school and single parenting. I’ve since moved to be closer to my mother and in this new town I’m just starting to get comfortable. I look forward to seeing the interests in this community.
  13. Welcome to happiness ✨ I also have strong bonds with my family and love being close to them. It's something I've come to appreciate a lot more compared to when I was younger. Lovely to hear you're settling in and getting more comfortable in your new town, and I hope you enjoy our little community ?

  16. Hi, Keisha. Happiness.com is still in its infant stages and right now the main aim is to provide a safe, supportive and lighthearted community for everyone to share, explore, discover and learn tools and practices to lead more happier lives. This could mean very many things, so feel free to share things that inspire or excite you. You can do so in the forum, or on your profile. As a new member, you might like to take a look at the Magazine where you'll find a huge selection of articles on a range of relevant topics. The Academy has some very helpful courses you could take, some of which are free. There are also loads of interests to take a look through and add to your profile so like-minded members can connect with you and vice versa. If there's anything you'd like to suggest or see on happiness.com, don't hesitate to reach out to me or the team, and we'd be happy to assist. For now, have a browse and enjoy your journey.✨
  17. Candy, thank you for saying so. And Hi it is great to meet you. I am feeling really gushy with this site. But I found it not long after I experienced a moment in my life when I felt armour falling away from my heart at the same time sleeping eyelids peeled back and I saw what was in front of me anew. I saw people and really felt that I knew them in a way that I had not seen them for such a long time. I am one of many and many yet who still are in a kind of survival sleep lashing out around what is being reacted to as a life. I was there also once trapped feeling separated and looking at others as either a means to an end or an obstruction somehow to my needs. I worked with a therapist and together we went into the realm of trauma and I did release myself from its oscillating effects 26 years later, so when I found this community online and right there I was like at last! Olly
  18. Welcome to happiness Alicia ✨ I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with your happiness and I hope you can find our community helpful. Please check out the magazine and the academy where you can find articles and courses that might be useful for you, and this forum is full of people who have a lot of wisdom to share. I'm glad you found us! ?
  19. There is a beautiful method in the book the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. He grew up surrounded by family and community that practice Toltec Wisdom that advocates freedom from limiting beliefs. Forgiveness is an act of self love. When you forgive yourself, self acceptance begins and self-love grows. That is supreme forgiveness - when you finally forgive yourself. Today in this moment, send all the love in your heart to yourself and those who need your forgiveness. Forgiveness is a great way to give love to yourself - and to other people. As soon as our healing opens our hearts you must forgive those who hurt you even if what they did to you is unforgiveable in your mind. You will forgive them not because the deserve to be forgiven but because you don't want to suffer and hurt yourself every time you remember what they did to you. Forgiveness is the act that heals the emotional wounds. We can forgive we have just learned not to forgive, because we practiced not to forgive and we have mastered it.
  20. Thank you for the warm welcome, Lizzie! I am two chapters into The Power of Now and I'm already finding it tremendously powerful and intriguing. I would love to discuss it further with you any time if you're curious and would like to explore further ? Hi, Candy! I feel happiness knowing that my interview replies left you feeling inspired. I've read yours too and I must say they're full of apparent wisdom, self-knowledge and empathy for others. The Power of Now isn't going to be "for" everyone but if you feel compelled to try again then I implore you to! I am glad to be here and I too thank you for being an amazing human and for your contributions to this, for me, newfound community
  21. Hi, Bre. I've been reading your interview replies and am really inspired. I started reading The Power of Now twice, but put it down both times. Maybe I should try a third time hehe Happy to have you here. Thank you for being an amazing human and contributing to the community ✨
