  2. I am new on this site. I am 45 years old. I have 2 beautiful daughters and an amazing grandson. I lost my mother a year ago and it changed my life. I am in search of well being. Thought this might be a good place to keep me on track. Nice to meet you all.

  4. I lost my partner in February as we were planning to get married. He lost his life due to epilepsy and I'm struggling with the fact I wasn't there to save him
  5. So sorry to hear that. It's like losing a part of ourselves. Our beloved Sox passed away in March. Life's not the same without him but we have got used to him not being here now even though we miss him terribly. Its a cliché but time is a great healer.

  7. I agree. I am in my 20s and do not find happiness from having a bunch of things. Life is more than that, but I loose a connection with other people. I live in a loud and busy community of diverse people. So I am learning ways to practice mindfulness.
  8. Hiya. Iam so sorry to hear about your son Ethan. Iam just coming up to the first anniversary of my beautiful neice taking her own life on November 12th last year. It is all the un answered questions. I never thought there could be a pain so raw. I have been trying my best to support my sister but as close as iam to the whole situation only she knows the pain left behind. 4 other kids to be here for and iam relieved my sister is still here as it was rocky. Iam sure your journey as Ethans mum has been a hard one and I'm sure he is very proud of you. Well done on your counselling course. Iam sure you can help many people but even if you only helped one, it would be one less family to go through this heartbreak. Be proud and have a great weekend. Xc
  9. Thank you @Enriqueto I did two silent retreats of 1 week each before, but the Vipassana seems to be more of a challenge. So that's my expectation: huuuuge challenge. So your advice is great - the best advice for all of life really ?
  10. I am a new member here and just wanted to say hi and introduce myself! My name is Lauren, I'm 20 and living in the Langley area of Greater Vancouver with my fiance. My goal is to further gain spiritual knowledge and connect with some like-minded folk inside and maybe even outside of the website. I've been told by various people that I'm an Indigo, and I feel like my goal on this planet is to serve, lift and educate. I have the privilege of knowing some great spiritual mentors and have taken it upon myself to mentor others whenever I get the chance as well. I'm also empathic, can heal, and have used the Law of Attraction to get to some really amazing places in my life so far. Others describe me as bubbly, funny, but grounded. I love to make music and art, when I'm not working, reading, researching or learning in any other form.   12. Hi everyone, I went through an awakening earlier this year and my reality has changed very quickly. It’s mainly been extremely positive, although challenging, and the journey of awakening has been almost indescribable and has enabled me to do things I never could’ve managed before. I don’t have a spiritual background at all before the past year or so when it started entering my life, so I haven’t met another person who has had this kind of sudden awakening (that I’m aware of). It would be great to speak with others who have had a similar experience but I’m especially interested to know if anyone knows of any groups of people who meet in London who have been through this? There seems to be plenty of spiritual groups but none that I can see for people who want to share their experiences of spiritual awakening. So grateful for the internet!   13. take your time.....and with every thought, make it a good one, of when you had good times, be thankful for the time you spent together.....and send her good thoughts of thanks every day, for then you create a better future for yourself to have with another, or maybe she will return, just be happy and thankful, life gets better in thanks............you are learning how to change your emotions from the lower sad ones and moving up higher into acceptance and joy again.......be thankful and smile....you will get through this....peace be with you
  14. I can't say that is spars joy but sometimes my job gives me positive feelings. I am working as a writer. Sometimes students have interesting essay topics and I adore learning new information and analyze it. I am convinced that I've found what I would like to do in life.

Well, I was the one to announce it, but we both agreed that it was probably a good idea (mind you it was a VERY difficult decision, since I had moved countries and changed my whole life around for this to work). And yes, I insisted on there being no contact in order to pull ourselves together and to heal (it has now been 5 months).
  16. A month ago, on the New Moon, I decided to take my Health into My Hands. Had been going to doctors on / off for 15 yrs when arthritis started to show up in my body. first doc said not much to do... So I did my own research & changed my diet a little & took supplements. Things were better for a few years, than stress took its toll on my body & a year ago arthritis went into my back.. All docs could / would offer me was 3 types of pain killers that did not help at all. By chance on the last New Moon I came across the Keto / Fasting plan & Bingo I am off ALL tablets & look forward to getting my Life Back..

  18. I have read becoming Supernatural by dr Joe dispenza and have been to his progressive workshop and he speaks so much sense. That book will make you think a lot about how you live your life. I would highly reccomend it. ?
  19. I have ended many friendship or so called friendships that were no longer serving me, I simply stopped messaging or phoning them until eventually we stopped speaking. I have never said your not my friend anymore lol and i would still say hi to them if i saw them in the street i just wouldn't stop to conversation with them for long. It's important to surround yourself with people who want the best for you, help you grow for the best and support you in every aspect of your life.
  20. I love this Mark so thank you for it. As a counsellor I am striving to help my clients (and myself) to find our true inner selves and live a more authentic life, freer from our social conditional and meeting other peoples needs and expectations. Its hard work and takes time and practice but even the smallest improvement reminds me I am on the right path.
  21. Hi! This exercise for me was also slow to begin with especially lying down. When I did lie down, I could already feel the tension in my lower back. I would have to refocus my attention to the rest of my body following along with the meditation. What I did learn is that doing the body scan, it calmed me down, helped me to focus and center my mind and literally feel my body. I also enjoy the simple awareness exercise because it literally is staying present in the one activity you're doing. I've done it where I drive to work in silence and just focus on my driving and the sounds. I have washed dishes just washing. Also, just taking breathes and knowing that it is life -the breath- helps me to remember to live by breathing. I also agree that sitting meditation is what I've done more of, so that seems to work. Neverthless, I will work on the body scan. There are benefits to it. I love that with Mindfulness there is no judgment, just being and existing with what is now.

Hi everybody my name is abbee I'm new here and don't have any friends yet I'm lonely because I don't have any friends really where I live or people who have similar spiritual viewpoints I have been going thru a kundalini awakening experience for the last ten years. I keep experiencing the same set backs or karmic entities in my life and I haven't learned to master this energy yet even remotely. I'm interested in using it for some type of spiritual or healing profession but I don't know what that is yet. I'm really interested in all things mystical magical and spiritual also like science and loving people. I don't have anyone to guide me on this journey or anyone who knows anything that I'm talking about yet. Would love to meet new people and make some soul friends!!
  23. I'm reading a book about fertility that swears by it. I recently went to a Kundalini yoga class in Amsterdam and I really enjoyed it. It's more chanting mantras than the asanas, but the whole experience is quite powerful. I left the class feeling a great deal better, and a little blissed out. The book I'm reading suggests Kundalini yoga for pregnant women or those wanting to get pregnant, but I think it's accessible to anyone who wants to clean/heal their energy and just bring some more peace and mindfulness to one's daily life.
  24. I have had trauma after trauma throughout my life and I find it very difficult to deal with the effect that it has had on my well being and ability to manage well out in the world ... I live in the city and trust no one except my sons ... I will read your article thank you
