Rylstone Gardens is a beautiful park tucked away high on the clifftop in Shanklin. As it's not so easy to get to, it's usually very peaceful. Full of beautiful trees and plants which attract lots of birds. This is also one of the best places on the island to see red squirrels: if you go early at dawn or later at dusk you will see many! Plus, amazing views to the coast! My peaceful place.
The first week of June is International Volunteer's Week, and we' love to know your thoughts on volunteering. If you could take a few seconds to answer our poll, that would be much appreciated! Thanks! 😃
As it's the International Day of Happiness this month (March 20th), we wanted to celebrate what makes you happy – in pictures! 😃📸 It could be a snap of you with your bestie, a treasured place, your favourite meal, or a special image from the past that evokes joy.
Upload a pic and add a few words to explain why this image brings you so much happiness. I’ll start by adding mine below... Oh, and remember to vote your favourites up the list!
We have quite a few articles here on the site about different mindfulness/meditation teachers and experts: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, etc. I was curious as to which ones you follow and why: why do some resonate more closely with you?
Personally I like Ruby Wax a lot: she's a comedienne and author who later studied for a Master's degree in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. The way how she mixes advice with comedy really works for me. 🤣
Who are your faves and why?
