Do you care about friends?

I have a few very good friends and am happy like that! It takes me time to build a relationship with people. I think living without any friends is touch: since isolation I have missed those friends a lot. How about you?

The first week of June is International Volunteer's Week, and we' love to know your thoughts on volunteering. If you could take a few seconds to answer our poll, that would be much appreciated! Thanks! 😃

Creative things to do at home

I wonder why banana bread became a trend? Still, I do love it :P I've been finally getting back into doing some artwork which has been really uplifing. And doing some gardening for my mum which is so relaxing :)

Carla Nature, nature and more nature! this reallyu makes me happy! I love walking and observing its beauty, there is new omething every day especially now with Spring on the way Mother Nature is awakening despite all the odds. It lifts my sprit up and make me appreciate what we have and take it for granted. Let's all protect and glroify nature, it's a free gift and we all need to take responsability. Be happy in Nature! Week 2 formal practice: Sitting Meditation

Olympia! So good to hear. Sounds like it is working wonders for you :)

Mindfulness teachers: who do you follow?
We have quite a few articles here on the site about different mindfulness/meditation teachers and experts: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, etc. I was curious as to which ones you follow and why: why do some resonate more closely with you?
Personally I like Ruby Wax a lot: she's a comedienne and author who later studied for a Master's degree in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. The way how she mixes advice with comedy really works for me. 🤣
Who are your faves and why?

Tine
Tine I go through phases. I had a Tara Brach phase, where I would listen to her talks and draw mandalas.
Training to be an MBSR teacher, I naturally read a lot by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Part of my journey has let me to investigate the work on self-compassion by Kristin Neff deeply.
Through a Vipassana retreat, I focused on S.N. Goenka's teaching, and in the same year, I went to Plum village and dived into the world of Thích Nhất Hạnh and his monks and nuns, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I guess I like Read more… looking at life from different angles and through the lenses of different teachers again and again as I keep having new and deeper insights even with seemingly "easy" topics like thoughts.

Candy
Candy I really like Thich Naht Hanh. His teachings on peace, mindfulness and loving kindness are very profound. His books are plainly, yet beautifully written and they've helped me so much. They are books one can read over and over and never get tired of it. 😇 I really like Thich Naht Hanh. His teachings on peace, mindfulness and loving kindness are very profound.
