Moderator Popular Post Li**** Posted April 9, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted April 9, 2020 Many of us are spending a lot more time at home than usual due to the current situation in the world. I thought it could be a good moment to ask what kinds of creative things you like to get up to at home! Do you have any hobbies or interests that you enjoy doing? Maybe we could inspire and motivate each other to either get back to doing that creative thing we used to love way back when, or even try something new! I've been doing a loooooot of cooking and baking (not only banana bread! lol) as it is something I really love doing. It makes me focus on what I'm doing and not on any outer worries for a while, and it also makes a bit of time pass... What are some creative things you enjoy doing at home?
Moderator Popular Post Calvin77 Posted April 9, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted April 9, 2020 I wonder why banana bread became a trend? Still, I do love it :P I've been finally getting back into doing some artwork which has been really uplifing. And doing some gardening for my mum which is so relaxing :)
Moderator Popular Post Candy Posted April 9, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted April 9, 2020 I'm cooking a lot too! I've never been a baker, but I experiment here and there. Most times the cakes come out too dry or just flopped! Then I feel forced to eat them coz I don't want to waste the ingredients ? @Calvin you're so lucky to at least have a garden. We have a tiny sliver of a terrace where I get about 20 minutes of sun a day, but I have to stand up as there's no space to sit or lie down. I also really like curling up with a good book, drinking more tea than usual, and only spending the essential hours on my laptop during the day. I've signed up to a few online courses which start next week. I'm really looking forward to those, and I just love the live workout and yoga sessions during the day! Not that I join them or anything... ?
Members Guest User Posted April 9, 2020 Members Posted April 9, 2020 Well, some folk may find this a little unusual but I have just started trying knitting. I purchased some needles and wool recently. Once I got into the swing of it, after looking on YouTube how to knit, I found it relaxing, me dative and forgot all my worries for a while. I recommend everyone have a go, even 16 stone middle age men, like me.. ?

Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted April 15, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted April 15, 2020 @Roops Knitting is great - to me it's like "gardening for the winter" relaxing and a bit of challenge at the same time that keeps your hands busy just like @Candy said. Though if my mind is too idle I will knit socks for giants... (This has happend...) ?
Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted May 8, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted May 8, 2020 After growing lots of avodados "trees" I started making jewellery out of the leftover stones. I have finally started an Etsy shop. The profits will be donated to a charity for refugees.
