Moderator Popular Post Bj**** Posted August 16, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted August 16, 2019 Hey everyone, as i use to read a lot and i will go on vacations soon i want to ask you to spread some good reads to me! I usually mix the type of books that i read in self improvement books, novels and some weird and complicated reads are ok as well, if they teach me something new or make me aware of something i didn’t brought attention to before. and maybe we anyway could share good and/or interesting reads in between all of us. Anyone read books from Dr Joe Dispenza? A friend just suggested that to me and it sounds promising. As well i, after a long time and Candy/Tine recommended once, finally want to read The Five Agreements. Feel free to inspire me. I´ll need a bunch of books!!
Moderator Tine Posted August 16, 2019 Moderator Posted August 16, 2019 Yes to "the five agreements". I loved it, and it was truly inspiring. Here's a link to the summary of the four agreements in our magazine - the predecessor of this book. I just finished "Radicalized" by Cory Doctorow - Four highly relevant, fascinating and entertaining stories where he walks just a few steps further down a few roads we are already on. "Sapiens" and "Home Deus" by Noah Yuval Harari are probably classics by now. A completely different style to Doctorow but at the same time another useful collection of insights that support my efforts to understand what is going on right now, where we come from, and where we are heading and how I can play a positive part in all of that.
Moderator Bj**** Posted August 16, 2019 Author Moderator Posted August 16, 2019 Thanks Tine! I´ve read Homo Deus, great book!! So, Sapiens is on my list! I´m not the biggest SF Fan, but that Doctorow book doesn´t sound too bad, i will have a deeper look Thank you
Moderator Popular Post Li**** Posted August 19, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted August 19, 2019 I mostly read novels and I just finished reading How to Stop Time by Matt Haig, and I enjoyed it so much! Another great novel I read this year was The Diary Of A Bookseller by Shaun Bythells, (I laughed a lot reading it). I can highly recommend both if you want really amazing novels!
Moderator Bj**** Posted August 19, 2019 Author Moderator Posted August 19, 2019 Cool! Thanks Lizzie, at least one funny book i will need and both sound great!

Members ra**** Posted November 4, 2019 Members Posted November 4, 2019 The power of Now is w great mindfulness book. The art of war is also one of my favorites.
Moderator Tine Posted December 12, 2019 Moderator Posted December 12, 2019 I just read Viktor E. Frankl's book "Man's Search For Meaning: The classic tribute to hope from the Holocaust". It sounds strange but it's easy to read and - this is less surprising - extremely insightful.

Inspiring but down to earth. I absolutely agree. Brene Brown is amazing. "The Gifts of Imperfection" was the first one I read - It was recommended to me by @Julius. Meanwhile I also read "Braving the Wilderness" and I am about to finish "Dare to Lead". She's about to launch a Podcast soon.
Members Jo**** Posted February 23, 2020 Members Posted February 23, 2020 I have just finished reading 'The Book of Joy' ...a series of interviews with the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, commentary by Douglas Abrams. What an amazing book, these two men are full of wisdom, humour and especially joy. (By the way, can I also recommend a Facebook reading group I have recently joined, for women keen to read and discuss a range of personal development books in an informal but supportive way...look up Emerge Book Circle.)
Members Lo**** Posted March 14, 2020 Members Posted March 14, 2020 Currently reading Michael Singer's 'The Surrender Experiment.' Intriguing!

Members Jo**** Posted April 29, 2020 Members Posted April 29, 2020 Hi Jerome, I love anything by Thich Nhat Hahn (Zen Buddhist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner). 'How to Relax' is a good place to start. His writing is so simple, clear and beautiful. Warm vibes come off every page. Each chapter could form the basis of a meditation/mindfulness practice.
