Charity and volunteering in Barcelona

I was talking to a friend about volunteering and charity work and I would like to ask for any charity organizations for volunteering in Barcelona. Do you know any charity organizations, perhaps that you are volunteering for? If you are already volunteering in Barcelona, what type of charity work do you do?

Esperança does great work in Barcelona handing out food, clothing and other necessities to Barcelona's homeless community, every weekend of the year. If anyone would like to help out or contribute, please send me a message and I'll be happy to give you more info ?

Hi Kancho. Thank you for your interest. You can contact Esperanca directly via Facebook. Every weekend they need volunteers to make 60 sandwiches, 7 litre of vegetable soup, 30 boiled eggs, 50 pieces of soft fruit and 50 soft individually wrapped cakes or muffins. They also accept men and women's shoes and clothing in good, wearable condition, and toiletry donations. Every week they need 5-6 people volunteering to walk and hand out the goods in El Raval and El Born/Gotico. They go out every Saturday and Sunday evening from around 8pm and are always in need of helping hands.
