Moderator Popular Post Candy Posted May 14, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted May 14, 2019 (edited) Technically, every day is self-care day, but if you live a busy life, that's not always possible and we forget to take time for ourselves which often leads to stress, exhaustion and tension in the body. I've started doing something called self-care Sundays where every Sunday afternoon I take 2-4 hours completely for myself to do slow down, replenish my energy, and do something I love that makes me feel energised and relaxed. This includes either all or some of the following: Take a guilt-free nap Journal for at least 15 minutes Yoga or body stretches Hair mask Face mask Long bath with sea salts and dried flowers Eat a healthy dinner Read a few pages of my favourite book What are some of the things you do to unwind and reconnect with yourself? Moderator Popular Post Calvin77 Posted May 14, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted May 14, 2019 Hey Bethnicles! Love your list - love a bath and face mask too :) For me, nature is the best way to unwind. Going for a walk along the coast or through the forest, or even just hanging out in the park for a bit. Really helps me switch off.

Members Me**** Posted October 16, 2019 Members Posted October 16, 2019 I agree self care is so important daily, its hard sometimes I feel guilty with a never ending to do list . But I find slowing down is helping me feel so much better about myself. There is no rush to get chores done they will always be there. I find breaking up my day. Working in small chunks so helpful. Then I will relax with a good book, a puzzle , gardening, or going for a bike ride in nature, listening to uplifting music. Helps me recharge Instead of adding to your to do list, journal about all the things you've accomplished . Will make you see progress you've made and make you feel like your day has purpose and that you have achieved something no matter how low you are.

Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted May 13, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted May 13, 2020 I meditate daily. In 170 days following the Vipassana retreat, I only skipped two days so I guess I can say it's every day. Some days it's only 3 minutes, sometimes it's 30. Right now, I am focusing on loving-kindness mediation. I am also doing the 7 minute workout a few times per week, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to self-care regarding exercise. Another big part of self-care is creativity and reading. I do one of them almost daily.
Members um**** Posted May 15, 2020 Members Posted May 15, 2020 Regarding self care , I meditate daily for about 30 min first thing in the morning, doing my yoga practices , reading something inspiring , Upgrading my knowledge professionally . Presently practicing the “Brahmaviharas” , a Buddhist practice through the day which involves Love , compassion , appreciation and equanimity ?????
