Moderator Popular Post Li**** Posted December 16, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted December 16, 2019 It's a new year, and it's a great moment to reflect over the challenging year that has passed, but also to think ahead of the year in front of us. What changes do I want to make? What do I want to do more, or do less? How can I keep working on becoming a better version of myself? Last year someone told me to write down a list of New Years Goals, instead of the typical New Years Resolutions, as the word 'goal' is more positive than 'resolution'. They had read that it's easier to get inspired by having goals set, and that it is easy to feel discouraged because you might feel that you break a resolution. This year I think I'll do the same thing. Whether it's something like a smaller task (like clean out my closet and donate clothes I don't use anymore) or a more profound life style change, I encourage you to write it down in a list. You can also make it more specific, like to have something done by a certain month, or to do something a certain number of times /week and so on. Do you have any goals for the new year? Let's share them here and inspire each other! ???
Moderator Popular Post Candy Posted December 19, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted December 19, 2019 What a great idea! I hardly ever make resolutions, mostly because I don't stick to them! But setting small goals is a much better way to go about it. I think that way it's also maybe even more achievable. At least for me ☺️

The writing system of Mandarin alone is quite a huge task.
Members Popular Post Ja**** Posted December 30, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted December 30, 2019 2019 was quite challenging. My goals for 2020 are to complete the sale of our Cafe Bar in January and then once the sale has completed to start home schooling my 12 year old son. I want to spend more time at home with my family and live a work, rest and play balanced life doing what I love doing.
Moderator Popular Post Veronika Posted January 2, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted January 2, 2020 I want to love myself the way I am. Something I always tell others and fail by being way to critical with myself. Someone on the happiness team said to me some time ago: "Humans don't need enemies, they have their mind to demoralize themselves." - and it's true, unfortunately. So I'm going to tell my mind more often: "I'm good the way I am. Shut up!"
Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted January 2, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted January 2, 2020 Brene Brown said "Choose courage over comfort", and that's my new year's resolution. Choose the train when the plane is more comfortable, say sorry when I could play it cool, speak up when I could look away, ... There are so many little (and big) things where we can choose, and so often the "wrong" choice is the easier one. Another resolution is it not be too hard on me. I try, I fail, I try again. I can skip the self-loathing and judgement. Oh, and in German, I want to use genderneutral language even when speaking. It's so cool and inclusive to hear people use it so naturally.
Moderator Popular Post joanna Posted January 14, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Posted January 14, 2020 Be more positive thinking, try to remind three things my kid doing good every day before fall asleep!!
Members Guest User Posted January 18, 2020 Members Posted January 18, 2020 I normally don`t have a goal for the future, but if it should make some comments on what i would benefit from in 2020 it would be to cultivate Falun gong even more then i do today. Then also something very important to me is to take care of my soon to be wife, she suffer from psoriasis arthritis, and it have made her body very weak, so she is in a Wheelchair most of the time. Other then that i dont cling to wordly Objects anymore, so it me it mostly how to become better as a man, soon to be husband, friend, cultivator and so on
Members Berta Posted January 28, 2020 Members Posted January 28, 2020 Oh, I am a bit late to this topic but here's what I am working on: Speaking up more! I train with tiny little things. How often did I not clarify my needs "hoping" that it would turn out ok. How often did I stay quiet about a racist remark presented as a joke. I practice and I hope this makes me more fluent. I do not need to respond with anger. A kind remark like "I am not comfortable with this kind of humor" hopefully makes the others think while being nice enough to not make them shut down in defense.
Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted January 3, 2021 Moderator Popular Post Posted January 3, 2021 I gave this some thought today. I am quite proud of how my year was in terms of donations, engagement, activism. So I padded myself on the back, smiled, nodded and now I'll continue with the path I am on. It's important to hold myself accountable and I did so in a blog article on accountability and donations. One o the key points for this year is investigating my real needs and getting comfortable with less of what I do not really need.
Moderator Popular Post Tine Posted January 5, 2021 Moderator Popular Post Posted January 5, 2021 A quite hands on goal I'd like to add is knitting more socks ?
