Is life is short or long?

Life is long for those who are deprived from their own rights. Life is short for those who are successful and problem solver.
From my point of view the problem is only in hearing. If we hear for guidance or improvement then we will always happy,if we hear for respond or showing our knowledge for superiority then we will always sad and depressed.. I will give u one example
The teacher said always wake up early in the morning, if we consider this sentence in guidance we will take a alot of benefits if we ignored this statement of teacher and said we knew that...now this decision went toward destruction. Even we don't realize what is in wrong to wake up on afternoon

You're right, words can be understood in different ways and they can make you feel better or worse, depending on the way you chose.

Ignoring words doesn't have to be bad though, because there is bad advise too.

 

I'm not quite sure, if feeling superior is a good or a bad thing. It can make you lazy, but it also means self-confidence.

It can motivate you, because you think you can expect more from yourself than you can from others.

Trying to prove your superiority to others is bad though, because it makes you a poser.

A gentleman never tells. (Or in german english: The gentleman enjoys and remains silent.)
