La Shala is more than a yoga studio; it's a space to share, to experience, explore, and work on personal development together. It aims to bring practitioners together and provide an energetic environment for everyone from different levels of practice. In this project, the beginners, the highly experienced and every other practitioner and teacher in between are welcome to organize and attend practices.
Shala is a Sanskrit word meaning the space of practice.
Getting its name from this clear objective of sharing a space, Shala is a project that helps teachers and students meet, and allows them to organize and attend various activities that support working on personal development and exploring different disciplines and approaches.
You can find exercises related to Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and natural therapies. The schedule is vibrant, offering various kinds of activities every day of the week, including diverse types of yoga sessions such as Hatha and Hatha raja yoga. They also provide other events outside of the regular schedule, including weekend yoga events and live concerts.
La Shala is a delightful personal development space created by 5 friends with a shared passion for yoga and sharing space. They envisioned to provide a space to others walking the path of personal development, collectively. They describe the space as somewhere with an open door for anyone wanting to participate in the project. La Shala is easily accessible in the Gothic neighbourhood and offers a large room with the all necessary materials.
Instructors are welcome to join and host sessions related to Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, natural therapies, and personal development. With the project, the founders also envisioned to make the collective effort something substantial and intend to help teachers develop their classes and student network. Teachers can manage prices and bookings for their classes, and all bookings have to be made through Meetup.
