The Bori Zen Center invites everyone to experience the practice of zen meditation in a friendly and stimulating environment, where one can learn the basic techniques of Zen practise and discover how this tradition can help each individual and the world.
The Bori Zen Center is an extension of the Kwan Um School, an international Zen tradition operating in Catalonia for many years. Its retirement centre, Bori Sa, is located in Girona and offer daily practice and monthly retreats, occasionally with the teachers of the Kwan Um School of Zen.
Bori Zen Center members meet regularly in Barcelona to practice meditation and periodically organises Dharma talks and workshops. Teaching follows the simple, direct style of Master Zen Seung Sahn, a Korean Zen Master who founded Bori Zen Center. At the school, one can practise walking and sitting meditation, or use songs, postures and food to work together in the Zen practice of the Kwan Um tradition.
Daily practice at the Bori Zen Center is in the mornings, Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 9:00, and Tuesday and Thursday from 20:00 to 21:30. The practice will commence as follows:

Practitioners are advised to arrive at Bori Center Zen 15 minutes before the start of each practice.
On Wednesdays at Bori Zen Center, there is a 'Sonmudo' class with teacher Lyudmila Litvinova. Sonmudo is a traditional Korean martial art consisting of three elements: meditative breathing, meditation exercises, and martial arts. Each class consists of a combination of yoga and stretching, martial arts, Qi Gong and meditation.
Each class requires a contribution of €3, or one can become a member of the Bori Zen Center. The membership fee is €25 per month, which includes daily practice, discounts for pensioners, and activities and stays at the Zen Kwan School. By becoming a Bori Zen Center member, one automatically becomes a Kwan Um School of Zen member also.
